Birth of Braxton | Birth Videographer Destin, Florida

When the midwives and I arrived, Melissa was at 6cm, but not really in active labor yet. Still, this birth was in Destin and Pensacola was too far away to risk waiting to go. Progress can be rapid once a mother reached 5-6cm. Or it can be slow.

And this was a slow one. We arrived around midnight. At some point I joked that all of my home births have been daytime births (rather unusual as babies are more often born at night). Well I guess Brax heard me and decided my streak should continue, because he didn’t make his way into the world until will after sunrise.
