At Home Family Session | Pensacola Photographer
Lauren + Casey wanted a family session at their historic, waterfront Pensacola home that they have spent years restoring. With debris from Hurricane Sally still littering the beach and repairs in the yard yet to be made, Lauren was worried that we wouldn’t have a suitable backdrop for pictures. I assured her that these pictures were about her family, not her yard, and we’d be ok. Then I saw this beautiful back porch, I knew we were better than ok. I was thrilled to be able to incorporate the home they’ve built together into their images.
At the end, we made our way down to their little slice of beach on Pensacola Bay. There were chunks of concrete and roofs everywhere. But honestly, these made for a lot of great texture and places to perch.
Having seen a fire pit while scoping out satellite images of the property, I suggested to Lauren that we end the session by roasting marshmallows. I was pleasantly surprised when dessert turned into a (good-natured) food fight. Families who are ready let go and not take photos too seriously, are my absolute favorite.
If you’re ready for a laid-back and super fun family session at home, if you’re ready to snuggle, play, and connect deeply, I’d love to chat.
