Documented | Little Readers

Taking a step back from photography and focusing on my family, has allowed me to rediscover why I fell in love with photo making in the first place--documenting and capturing real moments in an artful way. And I have found myself making a shift toward capturing these real moments, instead of getting that perfect pose. So often I avoid breaking out my good camera because the room is too messy, no one has clothes on, or the light isn't good. But my babies are growing up and these are the moments I want to remember when the sweet smell of lavender Burt's Bee's has long since faded. I must make more of an effort to document my own life. Isla is nearly six and learning to read. It has been a struggle to get her to focus, much less enjoy reading. But we have broken thru a wall and I sometimes find her alone in her room, reading to herself. Jack-Jack is ten months. So close to a year! He loves his sister more than anything else and wants to do everything she does. Here are my sweet little readers.
