Erin + Family | Perdido Key Family Photographer
Have you ever had acupuncture? I know... Needles. But trust me on this one. It is life-changing. I've seen several practitioners in Pensacola, Fl and I've never had better results than with Erin at Five Points Acupuncture. She is so intuitive and always seems to know exactly what I need on any given day.
I'm so blown away by her talent, and so I was pretty honored when she asked me to photograph her family
Nothing makes my heart sing like a family that tells me "We don't really want to do the beach.” But that doesn’t mean we won’t be going to the beach! In the panhandle, our beaches have a huge variety of scenery, and sometimes the non-beach scenery you are looking for is actually adjacent to the beach.
Erin and I decided the nature trail at Johnson’s Beach in Perdido Key would be the perfect place to take advantage of the textures and layers nature so beautifully provides. And for a bit of variety, right as the light was getting to low for the trail (but ideal for the beach!), we popped over to the Gulf side for a few shots right at sunset.
Erin told me she was struggling with how to dress her family. I gave her a few tips on mixing patterns and textures and she just really hit it out of the park with this cozy mix of fall hues and transitional textures. The patterns in her and Daphne’s dresses, one print small and one larger, are perfectly complimentary. Dad’s plaid layered with a sweater vest just embodies a polished, but casual fall look and the colors blend with the dresses on the ladies. The boys are twins, and I love that they have different styles. One colorful and casual, with colors echoing the patterns in the dresses. The other in a neutral sweater and dressed more similar to Dad to tie the whole look together.
