This Pensacola home birth with Stand and Delivery Midwifery has taken me nearly two years to blog about.

On my way home from this birth I was in a terrible car accident, the victim of an intoxicated driver. And I guess I’ve been struggling with a little anxiety or PTSD over it for the last 2 years that it kept me from being able to go back and select images (probably way to many) for a post.

This is a shame, because it is one of my most favorite births to date! It was also the first birth that I filmed (click here to watch the film).

Hannah was a total goddess. The light in her home and the depth of color and texture in her decor made for truly stunning images. Patrick was just the most involved and expressive dad-to-be. And all of the friends and family surrounding and loving on them (and me!) were truly wonderful.

When it was all over, Patrick & Hannah told me I could submit their birth to National Geographic if I wanted to. HA! If I thought NG might be interested, I totally would… but instead I am (FINALLY) sharing them here.
